Stillingsbeskrivelse
Introduction
Skarv Technologies is entering a new phase of industrial scale-up. As demand for our autonomous underwater vehicles grows, we are reinforcing our production organization with additional technical capacity. Our AUV Production Technicians operate in an environment where mechanical reliability, electrical integrity, and system robustness are critical to mission success. Delivering hardware that functions flawlessly under harsh subsea environments requires disciplined execution, thorough testing, and seamless coordination across engineering, production, and field operations.
To strengthen our delivery capability, we are now adding more talent to our production team.
Role Overview
The AUV Production Technicians play a key role in transforming technical specifications into operational underwater vehicles. You will be responsible for hands-on assembly, system verification, and continuous refinement of our production methods. The role interfaces directly with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure production readiness and product quality.
The workday spans a mix of practical assembly tasks, structured testing activities, problem-solving, and occasional support in field operations. The pace is varied, and the scope is wide --- ideal for someone who thrives in a setting where technology and execution meet.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble pressure-rated mechanical structures, electro-mechanical subassemblies, and sensor modules
• Perform electrical wiring, harness integration, and system-level cabling
• Produce and maintain assembly records, documentation, and user-oriented material
• Operate and maintain 3D printers, including production of custom components
• Contribute to design-for-manufacture and production method improvements
• Maintain overall responsibility for workshop organization, safety performance, and operational standards
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an individual who enjoys hands-on technical work, takes ownership, and maintains high standards in both quality and safety. Structured problem-solving and a practical mindset are key.
Professional Qualifications
• Experience assembling electro-mechanical systems
• Beneficial: familiarity with subsea, pressure-rated, or ruggedized equipment
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical interfaces
• Experience with measurement tools, tolerance checks, and quality control
• Technical certificate, vocational qualification, or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Relevant experience may substitute formal education.
Personal Attributes
• Practical, proactive, and solution-oriented
• Accurate, well-organized work style
• Strong focus on safety and continuous improvement
• Communicates clearly in Norwegian and/or English
Security Requirement: Eligibility for clearance through the Norwegian National Security Authority.
Why Skarv Technologies?
We offer a dynamic environment at the forefront of ocean-technology innovation. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute directly to shaping next-generation underwater robotics.
What We Offer
• Direct involvement in building high-performance underwater technology
• Diverse responsibilities within a committed, multidisciplinary team
• A culture that encourages initiative and continuous improvement
• Competitive compensation including pension and insurance arrangements
• Access to waterfront testing facilities and real operational scenarios
