We are now looking for two Welding Engineers at our site in Bergen Sandsli and/or Oslo Lysaker.

Our department in Bergen Sandsli was established in 1995, We participate in subsea projects from start to finish. Our foremost product is a self-developed and self-produced "Christmas tree" used in subsea projects worldwide. A "Christmas tree" is a collection of valves that have full control over what is extracted from the well, e.g., oil/gas, but also the injection of carbon into the seabed.

In this role, you will:
• Review contracts and clarify welding-related requirements.
• Define weld design basis and specifications for piping, structures, and pressure vessels.
• Approve WPS/WPQR and audit welding facilities and processes.
• Support supply chain and aftermarket on welding and fabrication, with focus on cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and ethical standards across all operations.

We are looking for someone who:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
• 3-5 years of experience with welding in the subsea oil and gas industry.
• Ability to act as Welding Lead and subject matter expert for multiphase metering, swivels, and pump systems.
• Familiar with key industry standards and guidelines (API, ISO, ASME, NORSOK, DNVGL).
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
